About this file

This document is a Request for Quotes (RFQ) issued by the Richmond County School System (RCSS) for Milk Products for the 2024-2025 school year. RCSS is seeking bids from vendors to provide a variety of milk products including unflavored low-fat and skim milk, as well as flavored skim milk in chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla. The RFQ specifies estimated quantities for each item, delivery requirements, product specifications, and the bid due date of May 29, 2024 at 3:00 PM. The contract term is from August 1, 2024 through July 31, 2025, with options to renew for two additional one-year terms.

The RFQ outlines pricing requirements, including that pricing must remain firm for the contract period and that the school system is tax-exempt. It also details the method of award, which will be based on the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. The RFQ emphasizes compliance with various federal regulations, including the Buy American provision, as well as state-mandated terms such as the "walk away" provision allowing the school system to terminate the contract annually.
