About this file
This is a specification document for the Maine State Warden Service's 2013 Snowmobile Order, detailing LED light requirements for eight snowmobiles. The procurement seeks weatherproof blue LED lightheads with integrated flasher assemblies, with one unit required per snowmobile. Each lighthead must operate on 12 VDC with a maximum current draw of 0.5 amps per unit, feature solid blue LEDs (not clear lenses with blue covers), include easily accessible single toggle switch controls, and be compatible with external flasher assemblies. The specification references Micro Lite Dash/Deck Lights as an example product, which offers 40 high-intensity LEDs available in various mounting configurations and housing materials. No specific response dates, due dates, site visits, or bidders' conferences are referenced in this specification document.
The specification establishes warranty requirements as a key contractual term, with lightheads warranted for five years from the date of purchase and flashers warranted for two years from the date of purchase. The document does not address pricing terms, set-asides, incumbent vendors, funding sources, or budget amounts. As a specification-driven procurement for equipment, the focus is on technical compliance with the stated LED and electrical requirements to ensure compatibility with the Maine State Warden Service's snowmobile fleet operations.
