About this file

This document is a Justification for Brand Name and/or Sole Source Acquisitions Over $3,500 but not Exceeding The Simplified Acquisition Threshold. It describes a requirement for a KB Duct Package to be used in the B-567 Baghouse Ventilation Systems at the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant (MCAAP). The justification states that the KB duct parts are the only ones that will work with the existing MCAAP Design #5017, and that substitution of another brand would require costly retrofitting and extended downtime, jeopardizing the ventilation design. The request cites compatibility with MCAAP's existing systems and the need to maintain redundancy and inventory as the reasons this is a sole source acquisition. The related federal contract opportunity is Solicitation Number W519TC24Q2257 for a List of Duct Parts, with salient characteristics that must be met and submitted with quotes. Quotes are to be sent via email by 04/10/2024 at 10:00 am Central Daylight Savings time.
