EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The MEGFoS D-BP is a Marine-worn of multi-function Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) system capable of providing defensive electronic attack (Counter Radio-Controlled Improvised Explosive Device (IED) Electronic Warfare [CREW] and Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-sUAS) against group 1 and 2 UASs. Objectively, MEGFoS D-BP will be light and easy to use for an incidental operator. MEGFoS will be employed throughout the Fleet Marine Force. MEGFoS D-BP will provide force protection while Marines conduct their missions.

PROGRAM SUMMARY

To reduce development costs and time, MEGFoS D-BP will objectively employ Modular Open Systems Approaches (MORA). If feasible, MEGFoS D-BP will utilize Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber-Defense, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance/Electronic Warfare (C5ISR/EW) Modular Open Suite of Standards (CMOSS), Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA).If technically feasible, the Objective is that MEGFoS D-BP will achieve interoperability via integration with the SSF or future EBM system and commonality of data and information standards. As these standards are governed by consortia comprising government, industry, and academia, MEGFoS D-PB will leverage the investment of others while materially contributing to the development and advancement of technologies that will benefit not only the Marine Corps, but the Department of Defense as a whole. As appropriate, MEGFoS D-BP should leverage and/or integrate applicable technologies developed or currently under development by entities such as Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Office of Naval Research, the Joint Capability Technology Demonstration Office, and others.

MEGFoS D-BP PMO will look at the following topics for industry to discuss as “Desired” for the Industry Day event.
