About this file
This document establishes the Minimum Essential Characteristics (MECs) for a FORMULATRIX Flow Axial Seal Tip (F.A.S.T.) Liquid Handler procurement. The equipment must meet specific physical and operational parameters: dimensions not exceeding 532mm (W) x 403mm (H) x 596mm (D), weight under 18kg, and a compact desktop footprint compatible with larger automated systems integration. The liquid handler shall perform rapid and efficient liquid transfers across 96-well and 384-well plate formats with dispensing volumes ranging from 0.1µL to 13µL (low volume) and 0.5µL to 50µL (high volume), achieving 5% coefficient of variation precision at 0.1µL. The system must include tip position sensors, automatic tip arrangement, collision detection, positive displacement disposable tips, and contact dispensing capabilities with wide viscosity range support.
The F.A.S.T. Liquid Handler shall feature an open API for third-party system integration, interchangeable decks for flexible labware configuration, semi or fully automated labware definitions and calibration, and automated audit trails. System control requires a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0 compatible Debian Linux onboard computer with web browser-based operational controls (Google Chrome 91 or higher compatible). The equipment must support Integrated Fluidic Circuits (IFCs) 192.24, 96.96, and 48.84 and serve as a validated solution for Olink IFCs and Proximity Extension Assay (PEA) workflows including Target 48/96, Explore 3072, and Explore-High Throughput kits, supporting both Olink pre- and post-workflows. The procurement includes Olink Protocol bundles, Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and new install training. Delivery is required to Robert Grant Ave, BLDG 503-Ground West 47, Silver Spring, MD 20910-7500. This RFI/Sources Sought (HT9426-26-RFI-3175) represents a pre-solicitation notification requesting industry feedback.
