About this file

This is a Notice of Intent to Award from the State of Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget (DTMB) Printing Services for an RFQ (Request for Quote #26*0450) to produce MDARD Official Sample Barcode Labels. The project requires printing 10,000 barcode labels. The evaluation process was completed, and an award recommendation has been made based on best value criteria, which considers the combination of evaluation factors and pricing. Bidders were evaluated on pricing, turnaround time, price hold duration, Michigan printing capability, and relevant experience. The recommended vendor is NEV'S INK. Questions regarding the project should be directed to Scott Barclay, the print consultant, at 517-636-7744 or Barclays@Michigan.gov.

NEV'S INK submitted the lowest bid at $478.50 with a six-week turnaround time and a 25-year price hold. Of the eight bidders evaluated, pricing ranged from $478.50 to $3,456.46. Additional competitors included Labeltape ($770.00), Smart Source ($945.00), Wolverine ($1,000.40), Whitlam ($1,444.00), Image Printing ($1,998.00), Shayleslie ($2,475.00), and Great Lakes Label ($3,456.46). DTMB Printing Services reserves the right to perform the work in-house or award to a higher-priced vendor if that vendor provides better value based on turnaround time or other criteria. An actual award will be issued after an order is received and the decision is finalized. Protests must be submitted electronically through Vendor Self Service prior to the deadline posted on the Notice of Intent to Award.
