About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for manufacturing specialized shore power cables for the Naval Submarine Support Facility at Sub Base New London in Groton, CT. The document details precise manufacturing requirements for multiple cable types, including six 50FT long 400-amp three-phase cables with Viking plugs and Duraline cam lock connectors, six 65FT long single-phase cables in different configurations with Leviton and Duraline cam locks, and six 30FT long 400-amp and 133.33 amp cables with specific connector specifications. Each cable type has detailed technical requirements including conductor materials, insulation specifications, jacket construction, and voltage ratings.
The SOW requires the contractor to deliver all manufactured cables to Sub Base New London between 0700 and 1330 EST, Monday through Friday, with specific delivery instructions. Contractors without CAC or NCACS cards must complete a detailed base access process involving background checks, identification verification, and DBIDS credential enrollment. The delivery point of contact is Gary Dunn, located in Building 17, 2nd Deck, Amberjack Road at the Lower Submarine Base. The document specifies that all cables must meet military specification standards and require certification and test reports prior to delivery, demonstrating rigorous quality control requirements for this specialized submarine support equipment.
