About this file

This is a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by Houghton Lake Community Schools in Michigan for a comprehensive mathematics curriculum adoption covering grades 6-12. The district seeks proposals for curriculum materials and digital resources for six course levels: Grade 6 Mathematics, Grade 7 Mathematics, Grade 8 Mathematics, Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II, with approximately 80 students per grade/course level annually. The RFP was issued on July 14, 2026, with proposals due by July 28, 2026 at 1:00 p.m., submitted either by mail or email to the district's curriculum coordinator. The district anticipates awarding the contract on August 17, 2026. While no specific contract term is stated, the RFP indicates that proposal commitments remain firm for 60 calendar days from the due date. The district prefers proposals aligned with the Savvas enVision Mathematics and enVision A|G|A curriculum platforms but will consider equivalent programs that meet all specifications.

The RFP requires vendors to provide student materials in print and digital formats, teacher editions, lesson planning resources, assessments, differentiation supports, and a compatible digital platform with online assessments and data reporting tools. Proposals must demonstrate alignment to Michigan Mathematics Standards and Common Core State Standards, with emphasis on problem-based learning, conceptual and procedural understanding, and support for students with unfinished learning. The district specifically seeks information on curriculum coherence across courses, intervention resources, formative and summative assessments, differentiation supports for English learners and students with disabilities, and company experience with references. Bidders must submit seven required forms including a non-collusion affidavit, HUB certification, debarment certification, notarized familial disclosure statement, and Iran Economic Sanctions Act certification. The RFP requires pricing proposals submitted separately and mandates compliance with federal civil rights provisions, Executive Order 11246, the Copeland Anti-Kickback Act, and debarment regulations under the System for Award Management (SAM).
