About this file
This document is a market research survey issued by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support regarding the procurement of Drum, Shipping and Storage items with NSNs 8110-00-030-7780 and 8110-00-292-9783.
DLA Troop Support is conducting market research to determine the best acquisition strategy and pricing for these items, which may be procured under an Indefinite Quantity Contract for a term of up to 5 years. The survey requests information from industry on whether these items are commercial or modified commercial, material composition, production capabilities, lead times, and pricing. Respondents are asked to provide details on minimum/maximum order quantities, ability to stock the items, and willingness to accept an Economic Price Adjustment clause. The survey also inquires about any issues that may affect the upcoming contract opportunity. DLA anticipates issuing a solicitation for these items in the near future and is seeking input from industry to support the acquisition planning process.

SUBJECT:
Market Research for the Drum, Shipping and Storage
Item Name: Drum, Shipping and Storage
NSN: 8110-00-030-7780
8110-00-292-9783
DLA Troop Support is conducting market research on the above item to determine an acquisition strategy that will enhance our support of military customers worldwide as well as to determine what your industry will be capable of providing with respect to the required item. For this reason, DLA Troop Support would appreciate your firm sharing your expertise and insight into how these items can be most efficiently procured.
DLA Troop Support anticipates issuing a solicitation for the referenced item under an Indefinite Quantity Contract. The contract may be for a term of one year or two years. Further, it may contain an option(s) to extend the term of the contract. If an option(s) to extend the term of the contract provision is included in the solicitation, each option term(s) would be one year. However, the total contract term will not exceed five years. The answer to the questions concerning pricing will be one of the factors that will help the Government to determine the term of the contract.
It should be noted that this inquiry, in no way, should be interpreted as a solicitation for offers. No information provided in response to this inquiry will be considered binding between the vendor and the Government. With these facts in mind, it is requested that you review the item(s) listed above and answer the questions on the attached pages. The answers you provide will remain confidential. Please return this survey to Quiana Bowser, by C.O.B. Thursday, September 19, 2024, by email at Quiana.Bowser@dla.mil, or by phone at (215) 737- 6139.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely, Quiana Bowser
