About this file

This document is a market survey for a potential 1-year open market blanket purchase agreement or $250,000 contract, whichever comes first, for various vacuum cleaner items under Federal Supply Class (FSC) 7910.

The market survey includes item purchase descriptions for four vacuum cleaner National Stock Numbers (NSNs) and requests vendors to indicate if they can meet the salient characteristics and requirements, including delivery time, pricing, and willingness to offer a better price than their commercial price. Vendors must provide their business size, whether they manufacture the items, and their GSA Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) contract number if applicable. The survey responses are due by May 9, 2024, to the GSA Contract Specialist. The government reserves the right to require proof of product conformance to the specified requirements. Detailed packaging, marking, and preparation for delivery terms are also provided.

SHOULDER STRAP - Included ATTACHMENTS - Included (see Table II of A-A-50438)

Unit of Issue - EA (Each, consisting of one complete system to a package).

EXCEPTIONS TO THE SPECIFICATION:

Under the "Abstract." paragraph, immediately after the sentence ending with "...shall be of the following types:" delete the remainder of the paragraph, and substitute the following:

Type HV1 - High velocity, shall function on 115 Vac, 60 Hz, and 115 Vdc.

Type LV1 - Low velocity, shall function on 115 Vac, 60 Hz, and 115 Vdc.

Type MV1 - Medium velocity, shall function on 115 Vac, 60 Hz, and 115 Vdc.

Type MV2 - Medium velocity, shall function on 220 Vac, 50 Hz, and 220 Vdc.

Under "Salient characteristics.," delete paragraph 5, and substitute the following:

5. At normal full load operating conditions, conducted broadband electromagnetic emissions on the power leads in the frequency range of 50 kHz to 50 Mhz shall not exceed the levels shown in the limit curve in Figure 1. At normal full load operating conditions, radiated broadband and radiated narrowband electromagnetic emissions in the frequency range of 150 kHz to 400 MHz shall not exceed the levels shown in the limit curves in Figures 2 and 3. The mounting of the noise suppression accessories shall be such that an electrical shock hazard is not introduced. The use of line-to-ground filters for EMI control shall be minimized. Such filters establish low impedance paths for structure (common-mode) currents through the ground plane and can be a major cause of interference in systems, platforms, or installations, because the currents can couple into other equipments using the same ground plane. If such a filter must be employed, the total line-to-ground capacitance shall not exceed 0.1 µF for 60 Hz equipment and 0.02 µF for 400 Hz equipment. The filtering employed shall be fully described in the equipment or subsystem technical manual as well as the EMI Test Report.

Under "Salient characteristics.," add a new paragraph as follows:

13. Types HV1, LV1, and MV1 shall be capable of meeting the minimum air discharge requirements of Table I when tested at normal full load operating conditions at 115 Vdc and 115 Vac, 60 Hz. Type MV2 shall be capable of meeting the minimum air discharge requirement of Table I when tested at normal full load operating conditions at 220 Vdc, and 220 Vac, 50 Hz. The volumetric air discharge shall be determined by multiplying the average discharge velocity by the area of the orifice. The average discharge velocity is obtained by means of a Pitot tube, or equivalent, placed within 2 inches of the outlet; the number and arrangement of the tube positions shall be sufficient to determine the average velocity at the discharge.

Delete “Contractor certification” paragraph, substitute the following product conformance statement:
