About this file
This is a Market Research Survey issued by DLA Troop Support for Marine Corps Tropical Jungle Boots. The survey seeks industry input on manufacturing capabilities for a potential Indefinite Quantity Contract with tiered pricing over a 12-month period. The government estimates requirements between 1,260 and 22,500 pairs of boots, with an Annual Estimated Quantity of 5,000 pairs per tier period. Key details include a 450-day first delivery lead time, subsequent deliveries in 180 days, and delivery destination at Travis Association for the Blind in Austin, Texas.
The survey requests detailed information from potential vendors, including company description, manufacturing capabilities, pricing structure, and considerations such as commercial item availability, subcontracting plans, and experience with government contracting. The document emphasizes that this is a market research effort, not a solicitation, and highlights Berry Amendment compliance requirements for domestic production of clothing and textile items. Responses are to be submitted to Karen Johnson via email, with a focus on gathering market insights to support military customer needs worldwide.
