The survey requests information about commercial availability, manufacturing capabilities, material composition, domestic sourcing, pricing stability, and delivery terms. The item is a source-controlled product currently approved for manufacture by Avon Protection Systems, Inc. (CAGE: 1LEW5) in Cadillac, MI.

The item has export-controlled technical data subject to ITAR or EAR restrictions, requiring approved US/Canada Joint Certification Program (JCP) certification for access. Key requirements include configuration change management, mercury restrictions, and standardized lot numbering with two-year record retention. Responses to the market research survey should be sent to John Lieb at john.lieb@dla.mil.
