About this file
This document is a Market Research Survey for Combat Boots issued by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support Clothing and Textiles. The survey seeks information about manufacturing capabilities for Marine Corps Temperate Weather Combat Boots (NSN 8430-01-492-1727), with estimated annual quantities ranging from 10,470 to 209,400 pairs across four one-year ordering periods. The procurement is primarily for Marine Corps recruit training, with a production lead time of 120 days for first delivery and subsequent orders.
Key survey parameters include gathering vendor insights on minimum/maximum monthly manufacturing capabilities, potential unit pricing for each tier period, labor and material ratios, potential economic price adjustments, and delivery considerations. The market research aims to determine an acquisition strategy for an Indefinite Quantity Contract, with responses due by 5:00 PM EST on 03/27/2025. Vendors are requested to provide detailed information about their business, manufacturing processes, subcontracting plans, and ability to meet Berry Amendment compliance for domestic production of clothing and textile items.
