About this file

This is a shipping and delivery specifications document for the Massachusetts WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) Program, establishing requirements for vendors delivering products to the Northborough Distribution Center. The specifications detail comprehensive packaging, palletization, labeling, and delivery procedures that all vendors must follow. Shipments of 10 cartons or fewer weighing 200 lbs. or less should be shipped via FedEx or UPS ground service, while larger orders exceeding these thresholds must be palletized according to strict specifications. Individual cartons cannot exceed 30 lbs., and all packaging must include specific markings including form numbers, product descriptions, language designations, and carton sequence numbering. Vendors must submit packing lists with each shipment containing ship-to and ship-from addresses, purchase order information, item quantities, and total carton and weight counts.

Palletized loads must conform to Grade A GMA four-way pallet standards measuring 48" long by 40" wide with three single stringers and specified board configurations, with a maximum load weight of 2,000 lbs. All shipments require advance notice to WICDeliveries@MassMail.State.MA.US with delivery date, carton/pallet counts, and purchase order information. The Massachusetts WIC Distribution Center, located at 35 Lyman Street, Northborough, MA 01532, accepts deliveries Tuesday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. All freight charges must be prepaid by the vendor on a Free on Board (FOB) destination basis. Non-compliance with these specifications will result in product rejection and return at the vendor's expense.
