Mobile Electric Hybrid Power Sources Synopsis

Marine Corps Systems Command has identified a future need for the Mobile Electric Hybrid Power Sources (MEHPS). The proposed acquisition will be full and open to include both large and small business entities. Market research was conducted and it was determined that this acquisition’s best possible solution would be accomplished through full and open competition. The Small Business Advocate is in agreement with this determination. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 541712-Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences. The Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. The Government intends to solicit and award up to two (2) firm fixed priced contract(s) in accordance with FAR 15.101-1 Best Value Continuum-Tradeoff Process.

Solicitation M67854-15-R-5007 will be posted on or about 31 August 2015 and made available on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOps) website at https://www.fbo.gov. It is the responsibility of the vendor to continually view the website for the solicitation and any amendments. Contractors interested in doing business with the Government must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) website accessed through https://www.sam.gov/portal/SAM/#1.

The vendor must ensure annual representation and certifications are current or complete them on the SAM website. All prospective vendors interested in submitting a quote must have a Commercial and Government Entity Code (CAGE Code). Interested vendors must also be registered with Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF) at https://wawf.ed.mil.
