(Q2a): Molex, Manufacture Number 11-01-0097, Hand Crimp Tool for 2.36mm Diameter, Standard .093” Pin and Socket Crimp Terminal 22-24 AWG
“Extensive reseach with brand manufacturer (Molex) indicates that Molex crimper (part # 11-01-0097) meets DFARS clause 252.225-7015, however, the three terminals used with this tool are now obsolete and discountinued (i.e. Molex terminal part # 02-09-2137, 02-09-1137, 02-09-1139) Molex is recommendng the USG use Molex part # 63811-1000. Recommend your techical SME's discuss tool selection and required capabilities directly with Molex Product Manager, Mr. Larry Schultz,

Contracting Officer makes a decision if this part number substitution recommended by Molex meets form, fit, function. Request Contractor Officer decision by 2-23-2016”
(A2a) In regard to your questions related to potential substitutions for Molex part numbers 11-
03-0044; which you have written as “Part# 11-01-0044” and 11-01-0097, the decisions regarding substitutions must be made by the offeror. The Government will not provide advance determinations as to substitutions planned by offerors.
(Q2b) Molex, Manufacture Number 11-01-44, Extraction Tool
“Extensive reseach with brand manufacturer (Molex) we believe the Molex extraction tool
(part # 11-01-44) is missing two leading zeros and the correct part # is (part # 11-01-0044). Molex is recommending that the USG review its required and intended use for both the crimper and extraction tool, and inconjuction with current Molex MiniFit products. Recommend your techical SME's discuss tool selection and required capabilities directly with Molex Product Manager, Mr. Larry Schultz,

Additionally there is no suitable sustitute. We do however have an alternate recommendation that the Government may consider which would potentially meet the requirement.”

(Q3) “The CREK design and appendix tool listings identify several bottles that would contain liquid but the RFP does not clearly identify which position or orientation of the case is considered upright. We would request that the Contracting Officer identify the upright case orientation so we may ensure all applicable liquid containers are designed and placed in an upright position”
(A3) The following items “Shall Remain Upright” IAW Product Description:
