Intended use: Primary purpose is to lift 20-foot International Standardization Organization (ISO) configured containers and move them short distances within narrow spaces with restricted heights and without the need to lift the containers using larger container handling equipment (i.e.

forklifts, top handlers, cranes, etc). In addition, these mobilizers are used to support loading 20-foot ISO-configured containers onto USAF cargo aircraft (C130, C17, etc.) and they shall be certified for loading 20-foot ISO-configured containers onto these aircraft. The mobilizers are also used to support precise container positioning aboard Unites States Navy Ship classes (High Speed Transport and Expeditionary Fast Transport)..

End item application: Primary purpose is to lift containers from each end (installed using the ISO configured corner fitting positioned on the short side) and move them short distances without the need for additional container handling equipment. Mobilizers enable container selection from any location within a row of containers to support positioning for pick-up, repositioning within a row after drop-off or positioning for inspection. Due to reduced vertical clearances aboard aircraft and aboard ships, the mobilizers shall not extend above the standard container height of 8’6” during installation and the mobilizers shall not extend more than 12 inches beyond the width of a standard 20-foot ISO container once installed with wheels locked at the 0 degree position.
