1. The Contractor’s measurements shall be within 50mm less than the respective measurements given. Measurements that do not say approximate are exact.

Forklift, counterbalanced, diesel engine driven, automatic transmission

Quantity: One (1) each

Note: Vehicle/Equipment and furnished accessories shall comply with Japanese motor Vehicle Safety Standard in effect on the date of manufacture.

A. VEHICLE SPECIFICATIONS:

(1) TYPE OF FORKLIFT: Counterbalanced type.

(2) MAST: Two-stage mast.

(3) LIFT HEIGHT: Approximately 3,000 mm.

(4) LIFT CAPACITY: No less than 10,000 kg at 3,000 mm with load center at 600 mm of forks.

(5) SIZE OF FORKS: Approximately 1,820 mm in length.

(6) OUTER MOST DISTANCE BETWEEN FORKS: No less than 2,140 mm.

(7) FREE LIFT: Manufacturer’s standard.

(8) ENGINE: Manufacturer’s standard diesel engine with no less than 170 horsepower.

(9) TRANSMISSION: Manufacturer’s standard automatic transmission.

(10) BATTERY: Manufacturer’s standard new for the engine.

(11) COLOR: Orange or yellow shall be the main color.

(12) STEERING: Power steering.

(13) BRAKES: Manufacturer’s standard.

(14) TIRES: Manufacturer’s standard pneumatic dual front tires

(15) INSTRUMENT/GAUGES: Manufacturer’s standard to include hour meter.

(26) HEAD GUARD COVER: Manufacturer’s standard.

(27) All other manufacturer’s standard items for the forklift.

(28) Loading capacity curb plate shall be visible from the operator.

(29) Equipment with visible rusts shall not be accepted.

B. SUBMITTALS:

a. Warranties and Manuals:

(1) One (1) Warranty. Standard Japanese.

(2) One (1) Operation manual. Standard Japanese.

(3) One (1) Operation manual. English.

(4) One (1) Maintenance manual. Standard Japanese. CD’s acceptable if readable by the government computer.

(5) One (1) Parts manual. Standard Japanese. CD’s acceptable if readable by the government computer.

(6) Engine serial number.

b. Certificates:

(1) One (1) Certificate of Transfer w/equipment data. Standard Japanese

(2) One (1) Certificate of load tested w/maximum load by appropriate method certified by the U.S. government.

Tested date required.

C. INTENDED USE: The equipment covered by this specification is intended for use by the U.S. Government in transporting cargo. The equipment furnished hereunder shall be delivered ready for immediate use.

D. DELIVERY POINT: All transportation charges borne by the contractor to the Logistics Department Motor

Transportation Division office, MCAS Iwakuni, Japan Bldg. #130A FPO AP 96310-0019, Mr. Yasuhiro Seiji, Tel

E. DELIVERY DATE: The vehicle shall be delivered at the delivery point specified above within 180 days from the date of contract.

F. INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE: Final inspection and acceptance of the vehicle furnished hereunder will be made on Standard Form 1449, block 32a through 41c, by the receiving officer or his authorized representative at the time and place of delivery as specified.

Note: Vehicle/Equipment and furnished accessories shall comply with Japanese motor Vehicle Safety Standard in effect on the date of manufacture.

A. VEHICLE SPECIFICATIONS:

(1) TYPE OF FORKLIFT: Counterbalanced type.

(2) MAST: Three-stage mast.

(4) LIFT CAPACITY: No less than 2,950 kg at 5,000 mm with load center at 500 mm of forks.

(5) SIZE OF FORKS: Approximately 1,070 mm (Length) x 40 mm – 45 mm (Thickness).

(6) OUTER MOST DISTANCE BETWEEN FORKS: No less than 1,170 mm.

(7) FREE LIFT (Lift height of forks without raising mast): No less than 130 mm.

(8) ENGINE: Manufacturer’s standard gasoline engine with no less than 59 horsepower.

(9) TRANSMISSION: Manufacturer’s standard automatic transmission.

(10) BATTERY: Manufacturer’s standard new for the engine.

(11) COLOR: Orange or yellow shall be the main color.
