Seal Material – Body shall be aluminum, suitable for crimping with a standard sealing press.
Wire Material – Multi-strand galvanized or stainless steel cable or wire, corrosion resistant.
Wire Length – Supplied with attached wire, length 8 inches.
Wire Diameter – Minimum 0.032 inches (0.81 mm), capable of being secured through standard valve or container seal holes.
Breaking Strength – Minimum 38 pounds tensile strength.
Tamper Evidence – One-time use; must be cut or destroyed for removal, with visible evidence of tampering if disturbed.
Marking Area – Flat surface suitable for application of identification numbers or codes, either by stamping or etching.
Operating Environment – Usable in temperatures from –40°F to 150°F, resistant to environmental degradation in storage and operational settings.
Compliance – Commercially available security seal conforming to general industry practices for wire crimp seals; no proprietary tooling required beyond standard commercial crimping devices.
Salient Characteristics – Custom Engraved Seal Dies (Set of 100) The dies shall meet the following minimum characteristics:
Material & Construction – Made from hardened steel or equivalent durable material suitable for repeated crimping into aluminum or similar metal security seals.
Die Size & Fit – Designed to fit standard commercial wire seal crimping tools (hand or pneumatic) that accept interchangeable round dies.
Engraving Capability – Each die face capable of being custom engraved with up to seven (7) alphanumeric characters.
Engraving Area – Circular engraving area with a diameter of 7/32 inch (0.219 in / 5.56 mm).
Set Composition – Total quantity: 100 dies comprised of:
50 numbered dies sequentially marked 1 through 50.
50 dies engraved with the characters “MMTQ50”.
Marking Method – Permanent die engraving (mechanical or equivalent) producing crisp, legible impressions on aluminum seals.
Durability – Capable of producing at least 10,000 impressions per die without deformation of the engraved characters under normal operating conditions.
Commercial Availability – Must be a commercially available, non-proprietary die design compatible with standard industry security seal presses.
Salient Characteristics – Wire Seal Crimping Tool (Qty: 50) The tool shall meet the following minimum characteristics:
Function – Manual hand-operated crimping tool designed to securely crimp round aluminum wire seals used in tamper-evident applications.
Compatibility – Accepts standard interchangeable round crimping dies with an engraving face diameter of 7/32 inch (0.219 in / 5.56 mm).
Material & Construction – High-strength steel jaws with corrosion-resistant finish; handles constructed for ergonomic grip and extended use.
Operation – Lever-type hand tool requiring no external power; suitable for field or shop use.
Jaw Opening – Capable of accommodating seals with wire up to 0.032 inches (0.81 mm) in diameter.
Durability – Capable of performing at least 50,000 crimp cycles without failure under normal operating conditions.
Dimensions– Handheld size 5 inches in length, overall width ¾” to ensure portability.
Commercial Availability – Must be commercially available and compatible with standard industry round-die seal systems; no proprietary seal requirement.
