About this file

This memorandum details a sole source justification for the calibration of a Fluke Electronics AC Measurement Standard by Fluke Electronics Corporation. The justification cites that Fluke Electronics Corporation is the original equipment manufacturer of the standard and has exclusive licensing agreements for calibration to original specifications. The related federal contract opportunity notice indicates that the Marine Corps Logistics Command intends to solicit Fluke Electronics Corporation on a sole source basis for calibration of the Fluke Electronics AC Measurement Standard Model 5790B with serial number 5790601. The calibration is needed to support meteorology labs aboard Marine Corps Logistics Base in Barstow, California. The requirement is being conducted as a commercial item acquisition under NAICS code 811210 with an estimated value below the simplified acquisition threshold. Award will be a firm-fixed-price contract to Fluke Electronics Corporation based on a fair and reasonable price determination.
