STATEMENT OF WORK FOR UPDATE OF
CALIBRATION PROCEDURE FOR AN/USM-
717(V4) VIRTUAL INSTRUMENT PORTABLE
EQUIPMENT REPAIR/TESTER
Prepared by;
Automated Test Equipment Program Foreign Military Sales Project Manager
Richard Foyt
SPECIFICATIONS
1.0 INTRODUCTION
The Automated Test Equipment Program (ATEP) and Program Manager Light Amphibious
Vehicles (PMLAV) Foreign Military Sales (FMS) office entered into a partnership to support diagnostics of the Saudi Arabian National Guard’s (SANG) fleet of LAVs.
2.0 BACKGROUND
ATEP works with the PMLAV to develop and deploy Automatic Test Systems (ATS) and
Application Programs Sets (APSs) which become complete automated maintenance packages.
These automated maintenance packages provide the SANG the ability to test their systems and maintain operational systems. The objective of this effort is to acquire engineering and technical support for the SANG.
3.0 SCOPE
The scope of this contract is to update a Virtual Instrument Portable Equipment Repair/Tester
(VIPER/T) calibration procedure that meets the requirements of this Statement of Work (SOW).
The contractor will perform the following to update the calibration procedure;
a. Convert the legacy system calibration software from Microsoft VB6 to current Microsoft VB.NET
b. Remove all legacy Sheridan Controls (ActiveX) and Visual Basic Power Pack controls (no longer supported in Visual Studio)
c. Target WIN10 Build Machine.
d. Modify software so that obsolete instruments are replaced with currently available calibration standards. Preference will be given to instrumentation already listed on UCMC stock list SL-3-1350A, but Astronics may select different instrumentation based on availability. The Rohde and Schwarz
FMSR50/FMSR26 is of particular concern, this standard does not appear to be available anywhere for rent, and purchase new cost is more than the total development cost of this effort.
3.2.3 When obsolete calibration hardware or software components are identified, the
Government requires the Contractor to select suitable COTS product replacement that meets or exceeds PS requirements.
a. All replacement components must have a three-year life cycle from the date of delivery of all production units.
3.1 Software Engineering. The VIPER/T Operating System Software (OSS) is built on
Microsoft Windows 10. The VIPER/T calibration procedure runtime must be upgraded to operate in a Microsoft Windows 10 environment.
