GOVERNMENT RESPONSES TO VENDOR SUBMITTED QUESTIONS

1. The PWS requires the Contractor to hold a CNCI Certification. Request that the Government remove the requirement.

Government Response: This certification is not required to be considered acceptable. This is being removed from the RFQ.

2. The PWS also requires that the Contractor hold a BICSI Certification, but does not clarify WHICH BICSI

Certification is required, and if the Certification is required at the Company or Installer Level. For this type of effort, there is no directly relevant BICSI Technician Certification, therefore, we request that this requirement be removed from the RFQ. Instead, a requirement that the Contractor have at least one BICSI Registered Communications

Distribution Designer (RCDD) on staff, who will be in responsible control of this Project, would be more appropriate.

Government Response: The Government agrees that one BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer

(RCDD) on staff, who will be in responsible control of this Project is acceptable.

3. What are the model numubers for the two power strips?

Government Response:

On Rack: APC AP7862

On Ladder Rack: APC AP7868

4. What are the security requirements for base access? Specifically, are background checks required?

Government Response: I verified with the front gate that RapidGate is the sole requirement for access to the installation. Please consult www.rapidgate.com for access requirements.

5. Per the project 1.1.3, will a copper tracer wire be required when installing the OSP fiber from bldgs. 104 to 112?

If so, please specify type and AWG.

Government Response: MAXCELL 2" 3 cell with tracer.
