QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Questions & Answers for M6700125Q1104 Watch Floor Furniture & Installation

Q1- Will the console feature an integrated, rear-mounted shelf that acts as a backsplash, providing an elevated storage or display area at the back of the worksurface?

A1- Yes.

Q2- “Fixed Shelf, Width: 9-12 inches Depth: 26.5-30 inches Height: 22-25 inches.” This height is below worksurface level. Do you have an image?

A2- No.

Q3 - I assume the rear of the console is defined as the aisle side of the console not the rear of the user side above the worksurface (backsplash). Please further define the requirement of the shelving.

A3- Shelving or storage elements are primarily located at the rear (aisle-facing) side, not above the worksurface. The “backsplash” feature serves as a display support or slatwall configuration rather than deep shelving.

Q4- Do they have a layout in mind? Sketch would be great, even a hand sketch with the room dimensions. I see that they seem to have a design in mind as they have the RFQ labeled.

A4- Yes. Draft of layout design is below for reference.

Q5- Where are the cables feeding into the console? Under the console, facility wall? Ceiling?

A5- Flexible cable routing.

Q6- Can they provide an equipment list?

A6-No.

Q7- Will there be CPUs stowed in the base of the console?

A7- No.

Q8- CPU quantity, make and model or size? This is to ensure they fit inside the console base.

A8- No CPUs will be used.

Q9- Monitor quantity, make and model per position; Any other equipment that we need to accommodate?

A9- See CLIN 0004 for specifications.

Q10- The RFQ states: The monitors appear to be included with the console purchase. Is a 6’ cord length acceptable?

A10- Yes.

Q11- I am not following the shelving description below. Could the dimensions have been flipped, and shelves need to be 9-12 inches Depth and 26.5-30 inches Width? Not sure what the height references either. Are there any examples of what they want, i.e. photos or a drawing? Is the intention to use tall slatwall to support the shelves and monitors?

A11- See CLIN 0001-0004 for specifications.

Q12- We have consoles that are 32”D and the RFQ is calling for 30”D. Will 32”Depth be acceptable?

A12- No.

Q13- Is the room location on the first floor? Is the building raised? The Delivery and Installation Instructions on P7 of the RFQ mentions stairs but also says the building is one floor.

A13- The room location is on the first floor. There is a viewing stage within the watch floor where desks will be installed that have 2-3 stairs on both sides of the viewing stage.

Q14- How many consoles or workstations are needed in total? I am using the term workstation to be one console for one operator. I counted total of 17 (Line item 0001 1x1, Line item 0002 1x4, Line Item 0003 3x4).

A14- 17 total console/workstations.

Q15- Please verify he monitor count and arrangement on the workstations. The total for line item 0004 states 34.

Line Item 0001, Quantity 1 console , individual, states TWO (2) Double tiered Monitor Arms which is 4 monitors.

This makes sense. Line item 0002 Quantity 1 console, row of four, states eight (8) double tired monitor arms which is 16 monitors. I interpret this to mean 2 double tiered monitor arms per operator. Line item 0003 Quantity 4, row of three, states six (6) double tiered monitor arms which is 48 monitors. I interpret this to mean 2 double tiered monitor arms per operator. Adding all these up results in thirty -four (34) double tiered mounts which will support 68 monitors.

A15- Two monitors per workstation. A total of 34 monitors and 17 console/workstations. Single tier monitor arm w/ mounting bracket is all that is required for all 17 workstations.

Q16- Does installation include the monitors or is that the government’s responsibility?

A16- Yes.
