The contract covers maintenance of connectivity between ALPR equipment at MCAS Beaufort and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) server's Vehicle Intelligence Server and Communications Engine (VISCE) software, which provides real-time alerts for criminal warrants, persons of interest, stolen vehicles, and other law enforcement notifications. The period of performance is February 2024 through February 2029, with an estimated cost of $12,000 per year ($60,000 total). NDI Technologies is the only approved vendor authorized to access SLED databases and servers. Market research confirmed no other vendors possess the required capabilities or access to interface with SLED systems. The J&A notes there are no current plans to compete future requirements unless additional qualified sources emerge.
