CAMP LEJEUNE STATEMENT OF WORK

1.0 SPECIFIC TASKS

1. DUTIES AND TASKS. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, transportation, materials, equipment and supervision necessary for the provision, delivery, monitoring and maintaining of stock levels of the specified chemicals at various locations at the Marine Corps Base (MCB), Camp Lejeune, NC and Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) New River, NC.

2. SWIMMING POOLS. The contractor shall provide chemicals for maintenance of swimming pools, as detailed below. Services shall include delivery and maintenance of chemical stocks.

Pool Locations: There are eleven (12) total swimming pools at MCB Camp Lejeune, Camp Johnson and MCAS New River.

Nine (9) are indoor pools Three (3) outdoor (operating 12 months per year) and are located at the following sites:

Four (3) are outdoor pools and are operated seasonally, opening on/about Memorial Day and closing on/about Labor Day of each year. These pools are located at:

Camp Lejeune, Paradise Point Officers Club, Bldg PP2632

Tarawa Terrace, Bldg TT-20

MCAS New River Officers' Pool, Bldg AS-709

Chemicals to be delivered to the swimming pools are Sulfuric Acid, 33%-39%, for pH maintenance liquid, Sodium Hypochlorite for pool disinfection, and Rock Salt – 50lb bags (Stone Bay only).

2.1. Swimming Pools Delivery Hours. Chemical deliveries shall be delivered to storage tanks at each pool site.

Deliveries shall be made on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM and 11: 00 AM. Delivery times shall be coordinated with the Holcomb Blvd. Water Treatment Plant (Bldg HB670) to gain Base access and receipt for deliveries. The contract specialist will provide the POC name and telephone number at contract award.

3. WATER TREATMENT, STEAM, AND WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANTS.

3.1. Water Treatment Plant Locations. There are Five (5) water treatment plants, one at each of the following locations:

Chemicals to be delivered to these plants are: Sodium Hypochlorite, , Muriatic Acid, Sodium Fluoride, and Rock Salt - bulk. Sodium Chloride, Sodium Hydroxide, Orthophosphate. Sulfuric Acid, Sodium Bisulfite Liquid, Aqual Flow Lime Slurry, Hydrofluosilicic Acid

3.2. Steam Plant Locations. There are five (12) steam plants, one at each of the following locations:

Chemical to be delivered to these plants is Rock Salt, 50 lb. bags.

3.3. Wastewater Treatment Plant. There is one (1) wastewater treatment plant: FC440.

Chemicals to be delivered to this plant are, Methanol and Liquid Aluminum Sulfate (Alum). Sulfuric Acid drums/Muriatic Acid, HTH, Sugar Water

3.4. Delivery Hours. Deliveries for the Water Treatment, Steam, and Wastewater Treatment Plants shall be made between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Bulk deliveries are to be weighed in at Base scales (located at Lot 201) between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Deliveries for Water Treatment and Wastewater Treatment Plant shall be coordinated with the Water Plant Shift Supervisor. Deliveries for Steam Plant salt orders shall be coordinated with the Steam Plant Maintenance or Operations Superintendent. The contract specialist will provide the POC names and telephone numbers at contract award. Only Utility Department personnel are designated to receipt for deliveries.

4. MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEETS (MSDS). Contractor shall provide Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for each chemical to each site delivered.
