About this file

This document is a set of contractor questions and answers related to the "CTA24025 Motel 6 Board Up" project, issued by the California Tahoe Conservancy. The project requires construction and design services to board up all openings of the former Motel 6 property in South Lake Tahoe, California. The project details indicate there are 164 doors, 156 windows, and 156 AC unit holes that need to be boarded up. The Conservancy has already purchased 400 pieces of CDX plywood, but the contractor will need to purchase any additional supplies required. There is no maximum job duration, and no bonding or liquidated damages requirements. The contractor will be responsible for painting all sides and edges of the plywood, as well as the exposed face.

The contract does not have a minimum percentage of work that the prime bidder must perform, and the contractor can use subcontractors as needed. There is no engineer's estimate provided, and the Conservancy will not reimburse the contractor for any supplies purchased beyond the initial 400 pieces of plywood. Electricity is available on-site, but the contractor will need to provide their own portable restroom facilities, as there are no usable restrooms at the Motel 6 property.
