About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document (Q&A #1) issued as of April 19, 2026, for Solicitation M0068126Q0019, titled "MCRD Commercial Christmas Tree."

The document clarifies technical specifications for a commercial Christmas tree procurement. The government requires a commercial-grade Christmas tree with a height between 32 and 34 feet, with 34 feet as the maximum acceptable height. Trees exceeding 34 feet, including those in the 35-38 foot range, are not acceptable. The government will only accept panel-type assembly systems; tower-style modular systems with stackable ring construction are not acceptable, regardless of whether all other technical requirements are met. These clarifications address manufacturer production limitations and assembly methodology preferences to ensure the procured product meets the specific operational needs of Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD).

Solicitation: M0068126Q0019

Title of Requirement: MCRD Commercial Christmas Tree

Q&A #1 as of 4/19/26

Questions Answers

- The requirement specifies a 34 ft commercial

Christmas tree. If a 34 ft system is not available from commercial manufacturers, would a 35 ft commercial Christmas tree be considered acceptable for this requirement?

No, the Christmas tree cannot exceed 34 feet. We will consider trees that fall in a range of 32-34 feet to be technically acceptable, as we recognize manufacturers may not produce trees that come at exactly 34 feet.

- Would a commercial-grade tower-style modular

Christmas tree system (stackable ring construction), which is fully disassemblable and commonly used for large outdoor installations, be considered acceptable if all other technical requirements are met?

No, we will only be considering panel-type assembly systems as acceptable for this requirement.

-What is the maximum acceptable height for this requirement?

Specifically, would a tree in the 36–38 ft range be considered acceptable?

The maximum acceptable height for the

Christmas tree is 34 feet. We understand that not all manufacturers produce trees at 1-foot height increments, so we will be considering trees that fall anywhere between 32 and 34 feet tall as technically acceptable.
