About this file

This document is a statement of requirement for a low pressure calibrator to be purchased by the 76th Maintenance Squadron at Tinker Air Force Base. The calibrator must be manufactured by a company with a minimum of three years experience producing metrology equipment and include an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration report. Key specifications for the calibrator include dual pressure modules capable of automatically controlling outputs of 0-20 and 0-60 inches of water with a precision of 0.005% of reading from 10-100% of range or better. The total uncertainty must not exceed 0.009% over a one-year calibration interval. Additional requirements include the ability to operate on 120VAC power, a 6-inch or larger display with 640x480 resolution, a pressure control knob, test connection ports, and an intuitive menu-driven interface.

The related federal contract opportunity is a solicitation issued by the Air Force Sustainment Center within the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command to procure the specified low pressure calibrator.

DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE

OKLAHOMA CITY AIR LOGISTICS COMPLEX (OC-ALC)

TINKER AIR FORCE BASE OKLAHOMA

Statement of Requirement / Item Description

76 MXSG request the purchase of One (1) Low Pressure Calibrator with the following specifications:

a. The required equipment shall be manufactured by a contractor which shall be capable of providing a minimum of three (3) years proof of history for manufacturing metrology equipment.

b. The Low Pressure Calibrator shall include an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration report.

c. The unit shall be equipped with Dual range pressure modules and include a negative gauge capability.

d. One module shall be capable of automatically controlling a 0 to 20 inches of H2O output pressure range and one module shall be capable of automatically controlling a 0 to 60 inches of H2O output pressure range.

e. The pressure range modules shall be menu selectable from an LCD or LED display.

f. The Low Pressure Calibrator shall have a precision/accuracy to 0.005 % of reading from 10 to 100 % of the higher range or better.

g. At pressures from 0 to 10 %, the calibrator precision shall have a fixed error equal to 0.005 % of 10 % Full Scale or better.

h. The Low Pressure Calibrator shall have a Total Uncertainty not to exceed 0.009% of the indicated pressure reading over a one year calibration interval.

i. The Pressure Calibrator shall be capable of utilizing supplied nitrogen or clean air and be capable of operating on 120 VAC 60 Hz input power.

j. The unit shall be equipped with a 6 inch or larger color LCD or LED display.

k. The display shall be capable of a minimum resolution of 640X480.

l. The Low Pressure Calibrator shall be equipped with a pressure Jog Wheel or Knob that allows the Operator to make incremental adjustments to the control pressure.

m. The Calibrator shall be equipped with Test Connection ports for inlet and outlet supply pressures. The connections shall be 1/4 inch female national pipe threads.

n. The Pressure Calibrator shall be equipped with an intuitive menu driven interface that is shown on the display. The menu driven interface shall include menu options for unit/scale selection and user definable units. The menu shall offer an automatic head pressure correction and sweep test which allows a unit under test to be exercised automatically prior to calibration. The menu shall include a Calibrator control mode which shall be used to minimize pressure overshoot and a selectable passive/active control band. The Calibrator menu shall also include a user define High pressure limit that allows the operator to input a maximum pressure preventing the over pressurization of the device under test.
