TINKER AIR FORCE BASE OKLAHOMA

Item Description

MEMORANDUM FOR RECORD

SUBJECT: Item Description, M21-009 Impact Tester

1. The 76 MSXG is requesting utilization of funds for the purchase of One (1) 900MPX-V2 motorized pendulum impact testing machine.

2. The requested descriptions/specifications are outlined below.

One (1) 900MPX-V2 motorized pendulum impact testing machine with 900J hammer weights, max capacity 900J and accessories

Up to 900 Joule energy measurement capacity

Motorized arm with a braking system for safety and ease of use

Capable of performing Charpy and Izod specimens including all subsized specimens at minimum 2.5mm x10mm x 55mm samples

Enclosed cage or shield with interlocked access door for safety of the operator

Multi-temperature chamber for testing ductile to brittle transition temperature

Interchangeable hammer weights to include 300, 450, 600, and 750 to allow lower energy tests

Must be capable of meeting ASTM E23 and ISO 148

Fully instrumented impact tup (striker) capable

Single phase power, 208 V power input

Concrete mold for pouring rigid foundation for equipment

Touch Screen instrumentation panel for testing control

Contractor shall provide installation, training, calibration, and performance verification

IAW this SOW.

Contractor must meet all requirements listed in SOW.
