The network must also be compatible with vendor and/or 3rd party developed applications.
Interactive Digital Display
Vendor will create an interactive digital sign template for the U.S. Marshals Services. The interactive digital sign will be located in the main lobby/entryway of the building. It will double as a welcome screen with general information about the facility and a rotating slide show will play when the sign is not being interacted with. The template will also include basic sign elements such as a logo, clock/date/time, weather and live data.
There will be a main region along the top playing slides of announcements, facility rules and general info about the facility, slides/images/videos of the facility. This will have swipe functionality to allow users to skip through different pieces of content, possibly containing tabs indicating what is being viewed. The interactive digital sign will have six (6) applications available:
1: Directory – the Directory application will include a list of staff with their contact information (office, phone, and email). It will be a directory list with contact information only.
2: Room Assignments/Events – the Room Assignments/Events application will include an A-Z slider to search for individual faculty/staff names. When a user selects a name, it tells them where they're supposed to be and what their schedule is and any other general information regarding an assignment.
3: Training Schedules – the Training Schedules application will display training schedules for the week. It will use the same data source as the other two Readerboards.
4: Announcements – the Announcements application will include a list of announcements for the week.
5: Emergency Contact Information – the Emergency Contact Information application will include Bing or comparable maps to local area hospitals.
6: Local Explore: the Local Explore application will include the name of restaurants in the local area with a brief description and address. This feature will be available through Bing or comparable maps.
Non-Interactive Digital Display The vendor will create a non-interactive Readerboard template for the U.S. Marshals Services. The template will be branded to the clients brand guidelines and will include basic sign elements such as clock/date/time, logo, weather, and live data.
The Readerboard template will include multiple regions. The Main region will rotate between: a week’s worth of events (Activities Calendar type). This will be the only content scheduled in the main region. The top right region will contain equipment required for next class, weekly announcements, and daily announcements. The bottom right region will contain weather, videos, photos, promotions, and morale content. The bottom of the template will include a very wide "crawl" region for date/time and frequent daily updates throughout the day.
Database The application database and other required infrastructure components will be hosted in the vendor’s Cloud, Customer content can be housed by the vendor or in other defined Customer content repositories. Where applications require an adaptor for live data integration, Integration Framework will be hosted by the vendor. Content Player(s) will be configured to receive application updates through http deployment from the vendor’s server.
The Customer will have access to the database over public internet (port 80) and is responsible for providing adequate network connections. The database will be less than 500MB.
Training The vendor will provide the customer four to six hours of web-based training to be conducted in one- or two-hour sessions. Training will be delivered by a vendor or Signage Developer. Training must be completed within six months from contract execution start date. Vendor must include a suggested training plan, to include training topics, with their bid.
