Q. Does the workstation have an existing internet connection, or is it a standalone system that will not be connected to the internet?

A: Workstation has an existing internet connection

Q. I understand that the provider/installer is responsible for furnishing the equipment. Is there any limitation regarding the origin of the equipment?

A: The origin of the equipment must conform to the Buy American Statute as prescribe in clause

52.212-3 (para. (f), pg. 29).

Q. Are there any specific requirements for the TV display, such as a specific brand, 720p or 1080p resolution, etc.?

A: No specific brand requested.

Q. Do wall-mounted displays need to be angled, rotated, or set at one position only without the possibility of adjustment?

A: Within the PWS, guidelines on the number of articulating mounts and the coorilating TV sizes are provided.

Q. Is there an incumbent for this project? If so, what is the contract # and value?

A: This is a new purchase.

Q. What is the wall type for your conference rooms? Are they made of drywall or another surface like brick, concrete, or stone wall?

A: Drywall.

Q. Are the 12 audio/visual displays, 4 articulating wall mounts, 7 flat wall mounts, and 1 flat panel cart already purchased by the government or are they the responsibility of the contractor?

A: All equipment and materials are to be provided by the vendor.

A: The Government will not be hosting a site visit for this solicitation. The rooms are standard board rooms.

Q. Is there a set height limit for mounting?

A: No

A: egg shell

Q. To clarify, are we responsible for providing TVs as well or just mounting and installing?

A: All equipment and materials, to include TV’s and mounts.

Q. Do they provide the TV and mount Is it dry wall, smart wall, or concrete?

A: TV’s and mounts, and all materials will be provided by the vendors and installed in drywall.

Q. Are we responsible for wiring and or seemless wiring Is there a loading dock if we are providing equipment?

A: There are no TV’s to be removed.

Q: Are we just installing or are we responsible for the connection to the network?

A: Installing to computer asset being projected. Network is already established.

Q: Section 2. The solicitation calls for 12 displays. Is there a preferred basis-of-design for the displays, e.g., Samsung, Sharp, etc?

A: There is no preference, the displays must meet the minimum characteristics of the PWS.

Q: Section 3.1. 1 – 3.1.4. The solicitation calls for installation of the 12 displays, 11 of which are to be mounted on walls, using either tilt mounts or articulating mounts. Are all the walls on which displays are to be mounted sufficiently reinforced for the weight of the displays?

A: Yes.

Q: Section 3.1. 1 – 3.1.4. Each room is receiving an HDMI Transmitter and three HDMI Receivers (one for each display). The transmitter and receivers in each room are to be plugged into a network switch. Who is providing this switch?

A: Capabilities to project does not require access to network just need capabilities to project from working station.

Q: Section 3.1. 1 – 3.1.4. Each room is receiving networked HDMI receivers and a transmitter. Typically, a networked AV system requires a controller which controls routing of content from the transmitter to the receivers, but no controller is mentioned. How is video routing of the transmitter being accomplished?

A: it will be controlled via a single workstation. Displaying same screen as workstation and controlled via mouse.

Q: Section 3.1. 1 – 3.1.4. Each room is to have an HDMI transmitter next to the workstation. Is this workstation the only source to be sent to the three displays in each room?

A: yes.

Q: Section 4.2. The solicitation specifies a period of performance (POP) of 1 September 2024 to 30

September 2024. Given that this POP begins in only two weeks (from the date of this email) and given that the contract must be awarded before equipment can be ordered, it is highly unlikely that equipment could be ordered and received in a time frame which would allow the project to be completed by 30

September, 2024. In all likelihood, the completion could fall well into October. Can the POP be extended to end 31 October 2024?

A: The Government does not intend on extending the PoP.

Q: What are the HDMI cables used for? Are they coming out of the receiver and into the displays? If not, the PWS states you want to run the HDMI cables into the network switch? Do you mean cat cables?

A: HDMI cables are used to connect from receiver to displays.

Q: What type of processor(s) are utilized to control each room? (Crestron, Extron, AMX etc.)

A: there’s is no processer currently.

Q: Can the government provide architectural drawings and room schematics for each conference room?

A: yes

Q: Will the uncompiled source code be provided for each room?

A: Unaware of this

Q: Could you please clarify what is meant by "running a 6ft HDMI cable along the baseboards"? This instruction is unclear as it doesn't seem practical given the typical installation scenarios.

A: it means to place cable management along the baseboard vice through a wall.

Q: The solicitation mentions three outputs, but could you confirm the number of inputs? Specifically, do all outputs need to be capable of selecting any input source?

A: once input to project to 3 outputs

Q: Could you provide details on the approximate length of the cable runs required for this installation?

This information is crucial for planning the installation and ensuring compliance with technical requirements.

A: Board Room Alpha: approximately 50’/40’/25’ Board Room Bravo: approximately 50’/40’/25’ Board Room Charlie: approximately 30’/30’/25’ Board Room Delta: approximately 30’/30’/25’
