1. Is it possible to just bid on the roller table?

Bids for both line items are required.

1. Is there a Food Service Consultant for this?

All questions must be submitted to the contracting office.

1. Is there a drawing already?

No drawings are available.

1. Is there a site visit?

Yes. The site visit was Friday, July 15, 2022 at 1500.

1. Is it possible for you to take pictures of the complete layout and post to this solicitation?

Yes we can

1. Are we replacing like for like, same size and configuration of dish machine and soiled dish table?

Yes we are looking for like for like specs if possible due to model updates we can accept an item with a minimal differences

1. Is there a make and model number you are referencing for this spec?

Yes the old system is a champion model UCC6

1. If you are replacing like for like, would you provide the serial number and make of the unit?

Champion J11092942

1. Would you please verify the voltage for this unit?

208V 32AMP 60Hz

1. What facility is this for?

Weapons Mess Hall which is building 740

1. Is there a floor plan available for the dish room area?
None

1. Would your team be open splitting up the bid? We only want to submit pricing for item 2.

Bids for both line items are required.

1. Do you have a drawing you can provide or more information on specifically CLIN 0002 as we need to know how the table is going to lay out to make sure everything lines up?

I currently do not have a drawing but can provide a picture of the current lay out.

1. Is the intent to have a “L” shaped roller table starting at the door, going down the right wall, turning left and stopping just short of the flight type?

Yes the intent is to have the roller table form an L shape to minimize the distance of items carried from table to the scullery machine.

1. Will the trim around the windows need to be replaced?

No the trim will not need to be replaced, however once quotes are received if the bidders identify that any construction needs to be conducted. I will reach out to our installations maintenance office to see what can and cannot be done.

1. Do the tables need to be made of 304 14 gauge stainless?

We prefer the best materials to be used, however I am not the subject matter expert on the quality of materials used. I conduct additional research once the quotes from bidders come in.

1. Does the old Hobart pulper need to be removed?

Yes

1. Does the gravity rollers run the entire length of the table on the 18'10" length?

Yes

1. Is there any portion of the table that has a motorized conveyor?

Current there isn’t one, however we are looking for the new system to have a motorized conveyor.

1. We were told the pulper is being removed so are there any disposers or other grinder to take its place?

All the other facilities have grinders currently install. Yes we will need a grinder install with the new system.

1. If there are no pulpers or disposers, are there any prespray sinks, prespray faucets, and scrap baskets to handle the food wastes?

A grinder will need to be installed.

1. Can the top and vertical portions of the window frames be reused?

Any building modification, before installation, will have to be pre-approved by the installation maintenance office.

1. How long should the roller section be in the table?

We are look at anywhere between 18” to 20” roller section.

1. Do you need any prerinse sinks or Troughs?

Yes the table will need to have a pre rinse section and troughs.

1. Do you need and prerinse faucets?

Yes

1. Will the table be 14 GA stainless steel top with stainless steel legs?

A 14 gauge stainless steel is acceptable, however, other gauges of steel will also be considered due to this being a best valued procurement.

1. Will the back splash be 10”?

Yes there will need to be a minimum of 10” back splash installed

1. Will the existing pulper be reincorporated into the design of the table?

No it will not.

1. Many of your scullery installations have the Salvajor pot and pan waste collector in operation. Are you considering that?

Salvajor is a brand name item I believe, however we are looking for a waster collector to be installed.
