About this file

This document is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by Bristol Community College, a public community college in Massachusetts, for the procurement of one (1) Lithium Battery Powered Crane. The immediate goal is to select a provider no later than October 25, 2024. The key details of the RFP are: the crane specifications, which include standard equipment such as a lithium battery, charger, hydraulic telescope sections, and various safety features; the proposal submission requirements, which include providing company contact information, a non-collusion statement, and a tax compliance certification; and the timeline, with the proposal due date of October 15, 2024, and the contract award date of October 25, 2024.

Regarding pricing, the RFP states that Bristol Community College reserves the right to accept the proposal that it believes most nearly meets its requirements based on "best value" and not necessarily the lowest price offered. The college is exempt from federal and state taxes, and the award of the contract will be for Bristol Community College only, with the option for other Massachusetts higher education institutions to engage the selected vendor through a separate contract.
