3. Description of Supplies or Services:
The VA Long Beach Healthcare System (VALBHS) is seeking Magnet Recognition and Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). To apply for Magnet Recognition, the ANCC requires that patient satisfaction data be reported at the unit level and benchmarked to a national source, with reports available for at least 2 years. The VALBHS requires a contractor to assess, benchmark, and provide reports that will result in their application for Magnet status being approved by the ANCC. Therefore, VALBHS requires a contractor which has their own (vendor-owned) client database, geographically diverse, national database of medical centers to include community hospitals, academic medical centers, Magnet® designated facilities and at least ten (10) VA medical centers to provide benchmark analysis of the VALBHS, allowing for internal and external comparison.
Required services also include a survey tool and associated reporting database that enables collection and analysis of provider specific patient satisfaction data and enables benchmarking of data to a comprehensive database of leading healthcare institutions utilizing the same tools at each facility. The contractor shall have access to the National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI) which collects and evaluates unit-specific nurse-https://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/USCODE-2009-title41/pdf/USCODE-2009-title41-chap4-subchapIV-sec251.pdf https://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/USCODE-2011-title40/pdf/USCODE-2011-title40-subtitleI-chap5-subchapI-sec501.pdf sensitive data from hospitals across the United States.
