About this file

This document outlines the Louisiana Preference policy for state and local government procurement contracts. The policy allows a 10% price preference to be given to products that are manufactured, processed, produced, or assembled in Louisiana, provided certain criteria are met. These criteria include the Louisiana-based workforce comprising at least 50% Louisiana residents, the Louisiana-made product being within 10% of the lowest bid price, and the Louisiana vendor agreeing to match the lowest bid price. The policy defines the terms "assembled," "Louisiana products," "manufactured," "processed," and "produced" for the purposes of determining eligibility. Bidders claiming the preference must complete the provided form prior to the bid opening in order for the preference to be considered.

The document outlines the information required to be submitted by bidders claiming the Louisiana preference, including the percentage of Louisiana residents in the workforce, the specific line items the preference is being claimed on, and the locations in Louisiana where the products are produced, manufactured, or assembled.
