About this file
This is a Limited Solicitation (LS) document from the State of Montana's Department of Natural Resources and Conservation (DNRC) seeking bids for 15 high-pressure wildland pumps. The solicitation requests engine-driven pumps for brush fire trucks, specifically a 4-stage centrifugal pump with a Briggs and Stratton 23-horsepower gasoline engine. The pumps must meet specific technical requirements, including a maximum dry weight of 250 pounds, ability to provide 440 PSI maximum pressure, and a maximum free flow rate of 106 GPM. Delivery is expected within 8 weeks after receipt of the purchase order, with the delivery location specified as the DNRC FAMB EDC in Missoula, Montana.
The contract is structured as a fixed-price procurement with all prices locked for the contract duration and no allowance for escalation. The award will be made on an all-or-none basis to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting the detailed specifications. Bidders must provide complete pricing for all line items, with the option to enter "No Cost" for some items. The pumps require a one-year manufacturer's warranty, and DNRC reserves the right to adjust the quantity of pumps before issuing the purchase order. Additional requirements include specific engine characteristics, such as a four-stroke cycle engine with an external oil filter, and comprehensive documentation including operators' instructions and service manuals.
