Subject: Water Safety and Swim Instruction Partnership
We are seeking to connect with certified swim instructors and water safety professionals who share our commitment to water safety and water confidence for all individuals. We are exploring opportunities for collaboration that may include water safety education, lifeguard certification or re-certification classes, or other beneficial community initiatives.
If this is of interest to you, please submit a letter of interest to Scranton Parks and Recreation for consideration. Please include the following information in your letter:
What lifeguard certification(s) do your staff hold?
Years of experience?
Are all certifications current and nationally recognized?
Does the certification include CPR/AED and First Aid?
Who supervises lifeguards on site and what certifications do supervisors hold?
How do you evaluate lifeguard performance and readiness?
What is your protocol if a lifeguard fails to meet performance standards?
Do you carry liability insurance related to lifeguard services?
Have you had any citations, de-certifications, or enforcement actions in the past five years?
If yes, please explain.
We would welcome the opportunity to learn more about your work and discuss how a partnership might align with our shared goals. We look forward to connecting at your convenience and learning more about the important work that you do.
Sincerely, Dana Force Director of Scranton Parks and Recreation Dforce@scrantonpa.gov 570-354-4748 image2.png image3.png image1.png
