About this file

This document is a Notice of Intent to Award from the Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget (DTMB) Printing Services for Request for Quote (RFQ) #25*0324, focused on procuring pinfeed labels for Braille and Talking Book materials. The solicitation seeks two specific label quantities: 8,500 units of Label 81296 and 5,500 units of Label 81297, with a targeted turnaround time ranging from 6 to 12 working days among bidders. Four vendors submitted proposals: Nev's Ink, Rotary, Smart Source, and Image Printing, with evaluation criteria considering pricing, turnaround time, and Michigan-based printing experience.

Nev's Ink was recommended as the awarded vendor with the lowest bid of $864.23, a 6-working-day turnaround, and meeting the state's evaluation criteria. The award recommendation is based on providing the best value to the State of Michigan, with Printing Services reserving the right to select a vendor with a higher bid if it offers superior turnaround time or other advantageous factors. Bidders were evaluated on multiple dimensions including price, working days for completion, printed in Michigan status, and overall experience, with vendors providing proposals from various locations including Wisconsin, Illinois, and potentially Michigan-based operations.
