About this file
This Request for Information (RFI) is issued by the Lee County School System in Georgia, specifically seeking technical and commercial information regarding the Nyquist E7000 IP-based paging and intercom system for Lee County High School. The inquiry focuses on a 384-port system configuration and requests comprehensive details across eight key areas: system architecture, hardware requirements, software features, network considerations, integration capabilities, management and maintenance functions, compliance and standards, and cost structure. The RFI specifically requires vendors to confirm the E7000 system's capacity to support 384 ports, provide detailed architectural recommendations including core and zone servers, specify all hardware components with model numbers and quantities, detail power and rack space requirements, and outline software features such as zone-based paging, bell scheduling, and emergency alerting. Additionally, the RFI seeks information on network topology, bandwidth requirements, quality of service specifications, redundancy options, and integration with fire alarm systems, access control, building management systems, and the Centegix Security Platform. Responses must be submitted to Blair Johnston, Technology Director, by August 18, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. EST.
The RFI requests a comprehensive cost estimate for the full 384-port deployment, including removal of existing hardware, with detailed breakdowns by hardware, software, licenses, installation, training, and maintenance categories. The school system also seeks information on system monitoring, diagnostics, remote management capabilities, update and patch procedures, support models, and relevant compliance certifications such as UL and NFPA 72 standards. No information is provided regarding incumbent vendors, current system environment, funding sources, budget amounts, or specific award timelines, as this RFI is an information-gathering phase preceding formal procurement actions.
