The project involves replacement of the main entrance (Door A) exterior glass doors and storefront with interior vestibule doors, plus 15 exterior doors (Doors B-P) with associated hardware and frames. The district seeks a single prime contractor responsible for all scope, trades, subcontractors, local approvals, and project permitting. A pre-proposal conference is scheduled for Friday, October 24, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. with site access and building tours. The deadline for written questions is 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. Construction is scheduled to commence June 8, 2026, and be completed by August 2026.
Proposals must include an itemized cost breakdown with separate line items for the main entrance, exterior doors, and interior vestibule doors as an alternate bid, along with preliminary construction timelines. All costs are to be inclusive of fees, materials, labor, services, and rentals necessary to complete the work. The submitted cost proposals will serve as the basis for budget establishment and support the district in refining design scope and establishing final contract value. Vendors are required to acknowledge site visits and attendance at the pre-bid conference. The project scope includes demolition and disposal of existing doors and frames, replacement with thermally broken systems featuring 1-inch insulated glass at the main entrance, ballistic film on all exterior and interior glass, all required hardware, closers, thresholds, weather stripping, caulking, and sealing.
