About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the procurement of a wide-belt metal sander and dust collection system by the United States Coast Guard Industrial Production Facility in Mobile, Alabama. The Coast Guard requires one complete, turn-key Laguna MW37 Pro wide-belt metal sander system (or equivalent) and one compatible wet metal dust collector to support its fabrication and manufacturing operations for deburring, finishing, and dimensioning metal parts. The sander must feature a minimum 36-inch working width, 37" x 75" abrasive belt size, 20 HP main drive motor, variable speed conveyor feed (12-60 FPM), thickness capacity of 0.125" to 6", integrated coolant filtration system, digital control panel with thickness readout, amperage load meter, heavy-duty steel construction, pneumatic belt tensioning, and comprehensive safety features including emergency stops and door interlocks. The dust collector must be a wet filtration system specifically designed for metalworking with a minimum 5 HP motor and 1800 CFM airflow capacity to safely suppress sparks and capture abrasive dust.

The deliverables include the sander system, dust collection system, a starter kit of abrasive belts and coolant additive, and all necessary manuals and documentation. Delivery is FOB Destination to 1500 15th Street Mobile, AL 36615, with the Government providing the facility location, 480V 3-phase electrical connections, and compressed air supply. The contractor must provide a minimum one-year limited warranty on all parts and labor, excluding consumables. This is a Firm-Fixed Price Supply Contract with quote submission deadline of August 10 by 3:00 PM CDT to Belinda.a.Robinson@uscg.mil, with award to the lowest-priced responsive quoter.
