About this file

This is a Labor Code Certifications attachment for the California Department of Food and Agriculture's Office Trailer Removal and Demolition contract (IFB 26-0036a). The document outlines mandatory labor compliance requirements that contractors and subcontractors must acknowledge and follow throughout the contract performance. Key provisions include workers' compensation insurance compliance under Labor Code 3700, prevailing wage requirements with penalties of $200 per day per worker for underpayment, and maximum work hour limitations of eight hours per day and 40 hours per week with associated penalties of $25 per worker per day for violations. The certification also addresses the employment of properly registered apprentices, who may be utilized in the work but must be compensated according to craft or trade standards and assigned only to registered work duties.

Contractors and subcontractors are required to maintain full compliance with Labor Code sections 1777.5 and 1776 regarding apprentice employment regulations and record-keeping requirements. The document requires contractors to initial each certification provision and provide a signature and date, indicating their acknowledgment and acceptance of these labor code obligations prior to contract commencement. Failure to comply with these provisions results in forfeiture payments to the State in addition to wage restitution owed to affected workers.
