About this file

This document is Addendum #3 for the La Veta Sand Shed project (Project No. 25170) issued by the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) on 09/12/2023. The addendum updates critical bidding information, including an electronic bid submission deadline of Thursday, September 14, 2023, at 2:00 PM through CDOT's Procurement Website (BidNet). Bidders are required to register on the BidNet platform and can observe the bid opening via a Google Meet link or call-in number. The document provides contact information for Robert Wilson from the Property Management Section and offers technical support instructions for potential bidding system issues.

The addendum includes two project-specific questions and answers: first, clarifying that all overhead doors should be roll-up overhead doors (not sectional), and second, confirming that a 75-gyration asphalt mix may be used for both pavement lifts, provided all other mix specifications are met. No specific pricing details, funding sources, or contract value are disclosed in this addendum, which appears to be a procedural document focused on providing bidding guidance and technical clarifications for potential contractors interested in the La Veta Sand Shed construction project.

La Veta Sand Shed Project #25170, Addendum #3 09/12/2023

Project Q&A:

Q1. The plans show overhead doors are sectional doors, however the specifications have both canned roll-up doors and sectional doors, which is correct?

A1. Per G0.0 (Door & Window Types), A2.0 (keyed note #11), and A3.0 (keyed note #11) and 13 36 13.2.2.A the overhead doors are all shown to be “roll-up overhead” doors.

Q2. The specifications call for two different pavement mixes. A 100 gyration mix on the bottom and a 75 gyration mix on the top lift. Can a 75-gyration mix be used for both lifts? The local plants do not carry two different designs.

A2. Yes, the 75 gyration mix may be used for both lifts as long as all other specifications for the asphalt mix are met.
