About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) for a Dual Chamber Aerospace Heat Treat Furnace. The government is conducting market research to identify potential sources with the expertise, capabilities, and experience to manufacture this furnace, which is capable of processing aluminum, PH stainless, titanium, and ferrous alloys. The furnace must meet specific requirements such as AMS2750, TO 1-1A-9, and Boeing 5621 Pyrometry, as well as be NADCAP certified for post-processing additive manufactured parts.
The RFI includes a Contractor Capability Survey that requests information on the respondent's company, past experience, manufacturing capabilities, quality assurance processes, commerciality, and ability to address any issues that may arise. Responses to the survey are due by close of business on December 23, 2024. The government will use the responses to determine the final acquisition strategy, including any potential small business set-asides. Both large and small businesses, including joint ventures and teaming arrangements, are encouraged to participate in this market research.
