About this file
This is a specifications document for loader-mounted snow blower equipment for the State of Maine. The document outlines technical requirements for five loader-mounted snow blowers to be procured through a state contract opportunity. The specifications detail the equipment configuration, operational capabilities, and performance standards required for the snow blowers, which are essential equipment for Maine's winter road maintenance operations. The document serves as the technical basis for bidders to understand the precise equipment requirements and submit competitive proposals.
The specifications establish detailed performance criteria including engine specifications, blower discharge capabilities, hydraulic system requirements, and operational features necessary for effective snow removal on Maine's roadways. Bidders must demonstrate that their proposed equipment meets or exceeds all specified technical standards, including discharge height and distance requirements, engine horsepower, and safety features. The document provides the engineering foundation for evaluating bid submissions and ensuring that awarded equipment will meet the state's operational needs for winter maintenance activities across Maine's transportation infrastructure.
