Kronos Mission Catalyst Day Presentation Summary
This document is a presentation briefing for the Kronos Mission Catalyst Day held on March 3, 2026, led by Lt Colonel Collin Greiser from the Advanced Space Battle Management Branch. The event aims to engage industry in two-way dialogue regarding the Kronos Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) and discuss innovative approaches, technologies, and partnerships that can support the evolving Kronos Family of Systems. The presentation covers the Space Domain Awareness Tools, Applications and Processing Lab (SDA TAP Lab) demonstrations and identifies future partnership opportunities for delivering innovative commercial solutions within the Kronos enterprise.
The Kronos Family of Systems organizes capability development into three primary areas: Capability Area One addresses Global and Regional Command and Control through solutions like SpaceBoard, SureFire, Spectra, Vue, and Relay Suite (current) with planned additions including Comet 2.0, Battle Drill, Flanker, Wasabi, and the SDCCS/Iron Stallion integration; Capability Area Two covers Battle Management and Force Packaging, including the Jupiter Contract with Planning, Sensor Orchestration, and Weapon System Orchestration components, progressing toward Dynamic Space Combat Planning and Battle Management; and Capability Area Three focuses on Space Intelligence integration with current solutions including the Integrated Solutions for Situational Awareness (ISSA) system and planned Intel PED Project 11 capabilities. The CSO employs intentionally broad areas of interest to promote innovation, with phased prototype awards expected in Q2 2026 for AOI3 (Space Intelligence Integration Prototype), AOI2 (Battle Management Prototype), and AOI1 (Global and Regional Ops C2). The CSO is structured as a long-term acquisition strategy with funding aligned to phased capability development and prototyping efforts across multiple fiscal years, with the solicitation expected to reopen no earlier than May 2026.
