About this file
This is a PowerPoint presentation deck for an Industry Day briefing on the KC-46 Landing Gear support strategy, presented by EHCC, DLA Aviation, and 417th SCMS. The presentation outlines plans for a 10-year Landing Gear support contract requiring full overhaul/remanufacture of nose landing gear (NLG) and main landing gear (MLG) components for the KC-46 aircraft fleet, with a 10-year time change interval.
The proposed contract will be a single-award Requirements Type Contract (RTC) with a 5-year base period and one 5-year option. The scope includes approximately 50 Depot Level Reparable NSNs, requiring 75-day average turn time for shipsets, FAA compliance, engineering support, and technical data/CMM access. Pricing will be Firm Fixed Price with Economic Price Adjustment. The contractor will serve as the sole remanufacturing source, responsible for delivering 'A' condition assets but not for forecasting, stock, storage, or issue. One-on-one industry sessions are scheduled for February 11-12, 2025, from 0900-1400 each day, with DLA Aviation serving as the contracting agency. The government anticipates a 6-month RFP process with trade-off source selection procedures.
