About this file
This document is an Addendum to an Invitation for Price Quote (IFQ) issued by the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) for a state and local contract opportunity. The addendum extends the bid due date to April 5, 2024 and adds specifications for handling, removing, and disposing of unregulated earth material containing lead. It also replaces several sections related to electrical work, including requirements for communication cables, remote power management, and controller cabinets.
The contract is for a SB Minor B project to replace enclosures, cables, and inductive loop detectors, as well as install equipment for a census system in San Diego and Imperial Counties. The project requires the contractor to be a certified Small Business. No DVBE Contract goal is established, but bidders are encouraged to obtain DVBE participation. Bids over $461,000 will be rejected. Payment bonds and insurance will be required if the contractor is awarded the contract.
