About this file

This single source justification document outlines the need for additional gas monitoring screens from ChemDAQ Incorporated for the Department of Veterans Affairs' Veterans Health Administration facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. The facility currently uses ChemDAQ's proprietary Steri-Trac gas monitoring system to detect harmful gases around its sterilization machines. Market research found that ChemDAQ has two authorized SDVOSB distributors for the Steri-Trac system, which is brand name only for this requirement. As the incumbent system, additional Steri-Trac monitors are required to support the facility's sterilization needs. The contracting officer certified this single source procurement is in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b).
