About this file

This document is a notice of intent to sole source a contract from the U.S. International Trade Commission to The Economist Intelligence Unit. The notice states that the Commission intends to award a one-year purchase order on September 1, 2022 for enterprise online access to The Economist Intelligence Unit's flagship Country Reports product along with its Access China, Market Indicators & Forecasts, and Country Commerce products. These subscriptions provide comprehensive country, market, risk, industry, political, and data insights for most developed and developing nations worldwide. The purchase order is expected to include two option years extending performance through August 31, 2025. Responses from other sources must be received by August 8, 2022 to be considered, though sole sourcing to The Economist Intelligence Unit is within the agency's discretion. The notice serves an informational purpose for potential competitors to the incumbent.

TextField1: Enterprise subscription renewal to The Economist Intelligence Unit as recurring requirement for the Office of Operations, chiefly the offices of Economics and of Industries.
TextField1: No peer equivalent, no other sources. The EIU is relied upon by the Country Region Division for the Office of Economics for its authority and reputation. Its Country Reports and related components provide comprehensive political economy assessments that we find have no direct competitor. Other vendors offer similar products and services but the EIU remains a separate category of resource having paved the way for newer vendors to emulate and model from. The EIU is seen as a critical resource for the Commission to achieve success in economic and industry analysis across a variety of locations and economies.
